Distance

Heights

Fast and accurate two-point measurement with the Vertex 5 system.

Fasten the T3 transponder to the tree at any height, walk a distance of your choice and measure as many heights on each object as you wish, with the four last measured heights shown in the display.

1. Aim at the transponder, press the button and read the distance to the object.
2. Aim to the height you want to measure, press the button and read the height on the Vertex instrument display.

Angle

Measure slope in the terrain and have it presented to you in degrees, grads and percentage.

Plot Radius

In sample plot inventory work it is important to use the correct radius measurement.The ultrasound method is very suitable for this application.

BAF- Basal Area Factors

Working with factor gauge or prisms can be difficult when some trees cover others in the forest. Poor sighting can prevent a correct diameter measuring.

With the Vertex 5 built in BAF function, the minimum tree diameter for trees to be included in the plot can be featured.

0.5, 1 to 9 (m2/ha) or 5, 10, 15..to 50 (ft2/acre).  Vertex 5 can be used in dense vegetation and undergrowth.

Communication

MacroLine are scales innovative, precise, swiss engineered by PESOLA.

Two instruments in one! Use these precision Pesola scales to determine the weights of numerous specimens, or attach the optional pressure set to use them as dynamometers to determine the amount of pressure needed to move objects. With the optional pressure set attached, you can also use these scales as penetrometers to test soil compaction. Pesola scales work in any position — even overhead. Each scale features high quality, non-corroding components housed in an abrasion-resistant anodized aluminum case. Two-sided graduations are inversely proportional so you can easily read measurements from different positions. Tare screws allow you to “zero-out” the weight of various containers from 15% to 25% of the scale’s capacity. Drag pointers measure the maximum readings obtained per weighing. Handle and drag pointer included. Upper and lower suspensions rotate.
